Rich in heritage and tradition, the SDBA was formed from many boat clubs to have a common rule book a standard set of timing equipment and sanctions events in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana, and participates in events elsewhere under the National Drag Boat Association banner. With hundreds of racing memberships, the SDBA offers a unique, exciting, family oriented sport which is comparable to no other, and second to none. The display of speed on the liquid quarter mile, coupled with the technology of state of the art boat hulls equipped with 1,000+ horsepower fuel, alcohol, and gasoline powered engines promises to afford an event spectators will find astonishing.
